She was born in Bucharest, Romania. Her studies
were in grapichs and paintings at the Art School, where she was top of promotion. Despina was at many exibits: in Bucharest, at the Museum
Of Art Collections (where she won the Second Prize, at the National Festival of Education and Culture (where she won two consecutive prizes I and II), at the National Theatre
in 1982, at the National Military Circle in 1999, and at the Romanian Senat last
year. She takes pride with many paintings and graphics sold in private collections in countries like: Austria,
Germany, Greece, Turkey, U.S.A, Canada and Romania.
"I like to discover, and to show people the beauty and the purity of nature that
surrounds us, a beauty which is ignored too often. The human soul, especially the
contemporary type, needs beauty and purity, light and color, harmony and ballance, to
hear the sublime music of life"
